- SYMPTOMS. There may be a retardation of growth in children. Others may
- include night blindness, susceptibility to infection, softening of the
- cornea and the surface of the conjunctiva in the eye may be abnormally dry.
- CAUSES may include inadequate intake of green leafy vegetables, butter, egg
- yoke, liver or cream. It may also be the result of absorption deficiency and
- storage and many types of diseases.
- TREATMENT. Doses of vitamin A, cause corrected.
